About Leatherique

Born from a 1939 Bentley

In early 1961, a man stood in his driveway staring at the leather seats of a 1939 Bentley, wondering how to change their color. His wife had spoken.

George Pavlisko Sr. was a passionate family man, auto enthusiast, and chemist. His wife had made herself clear: the color of those seats had to change. Being a dedicated husband and chemist, he knew he had to figure it out. On that day, Leatherique was born.

As George experimented with ways to dye the seats, he quickly realized that the success of his project would depend upon the health of the leather. With over twenty years on the road, the Bentley's seats had become dry. That realization led to the development of Leatherique Rejuvenator and Leatherique Prestine Clean.

A Legacy Built on Trust

As an expert in auto restoration, George Sr. became deeply involved in the British classic car community. Word spread. At the 1968 Rolls Royce Owners Club National Meet, Leatherique products were dubbed Simply the Best by the membership, a distinction earned, not given, from a community that tolerates nothing less. Leatherique has been present at every National Meet since and remains deeply trusted by that community today.

Three Generations, One Formula

George Pavlisko Jr. and his wife Krysti carried the business forward for decades, holding the same standard George Sr. had set. Leatherique is now in its third generation of family ownership, operated by Kent and Kathja Anderson, a veteran-owned business headquartered in Columbus, Indiana.

The formula has never changed. Every product is still made in house.
