The fluids you need to re-dye a worn, faded, or peeling black leather steering wheel — in one kit. You'll also need sandpaper and a brush or applicator, available at any hardware store.

Includes:

• Leatherique Prepping Agent — 4 oz
• Leatherique Black Dye — 4 oz
• Leatherique Klear Kote — 4 oz

Begin by wet sanding the leather surface using sandpaper and Prepping Agent, working to a smooth, even finish. This removes oils, residue, and any loose or peeling material while preparing the surface to accept the dye. Apply the Black Dye evenly in thin coats, allowing each coat to dry before the next.

Klear Kote is optional — apply it as a final coat if you want a shinier finish, which is particularly well suited to older vehicles where a higher gloss is more period-correct.

Designed for steering wheels but works equally well on gear shift boots, armrests, and other black leather interior trim.
